GOGOLI began with one pair of hands, a worktable in Türkiye, and a simple belief: the things we choose to live with should be made with enough care to remain meaningful long after the moment in which they were found.
Here, yarn becomes clothing, accessories and textiles slowly. A garment may take shape panel by panel. A blanket may grow motif by motif. A colour transition may be created by bringing several threads together and changing them gradually by hand. Some pieces are completed within weeks; others continue across months, summers and winters.
Nothing is hurried simply to become new.
GOGOLI is not defined by a single material, colour or technique. Each design begins with its own character. Some pieces are quiet and easy to live with every day. Others are singular works, shaped by intricate construction and long periods of making. What connects them is the same attention to proportion, texture, movement and the smallest finishing decisions.
Traditional handwork is part of this language, but GOGOLI is not created to reproduce the past unchanged. Familiar techniques are brought into new forms: a clean silhouette softened by open crochet, a practical object given the presence of a keepsake, a historic lace language placed within a contemporary home.
The aim is not perfection emptied of personality. It is balance.
The balance between structure and softness. Between expressive colour and quiet detail. Between the discipline of repetition and the subtle differences that only the human hand can leave behind.
Every piece begins with the maker, but its life is not meant to remain at the worktable. It is made to be worn, used, folded, displayed, remembered and eventually associated with moments that did not yet exist when the first stitch was formed.
A GOGOLI piece carries the time of its making, but it is created for the life that comes afterwards.
