This large handmade crochet blanket was completed in Türkiye over approximately eighteen months, across two summers and one winter. As it grew in scale and weight, the warmer months called for shorter crochet sessions. It was never rushed; each motif was given the time and attention its making required.

The blanket is formed from rows of square crochet motifs in a carefully considered palette of vivid and muted colours. Each motif was worked individually and then joined by hand, allowing small shifts in colour, texture and rhythm to remain visible across the surface.

A continuous border gently frames the finished piece. With its generous size and substantial weight, the blanket has a rich, comforting presence and a soft drape that settles naturally across a bed. It may also be folded at the foot of the bed or kept as a distinctive textile layer within the home.

HANDMADE CHARACTER

Every GOGOLI piece begins and continues in our hands. Small variations in motif dimensions, crochet tension, joining points, colour placement, texture and finished measurements are part of the handmade process rather than imperfections.

Because each motif was created and joined individually, the surface carries the quiet traces of the hands and time behind it. These subtle differences give the blanket its own character and ensure that it cannot be repeated in exactly the same way.

Due to its generous scale and weight, the blanket may settle gently with use. Folding it carefully, supporting its weight while handling it and storing it without compression will help preserve its form.

Colours may appear slightly different depending on lighting conditions and individual screen settings.
