The design begins at a small central opening and expands gradually through continuous rounds of intricate crochet. As the pattern grows, closely worked sections open into layered floral and scalloped details, forming a richly textured border around the entire piece.

Its generous edge circumference allows the lace to settle naturally over the sides of a round table. Rather than lying completely flat at the border, the outer pattern falls into soft, sculptural folds that reveal the depth and rhythm of the crochet work.
